Fourth Stop: Beaches of Currimao, Ilocos Norte
Our fourth and last stop for the day was the beach! The west coast of Luzon fronts the South China Sea, and the whole stretch from Zambales to Ilocos Norte is dotted with beaches and ports. We stayed in one of the resorts in the quiet fishing town of Currimao just south of Laoag.

We arrived in Currimao in the afternoon, just before the sun sank into the horizon, behind the South China Sea.
The kids were jumping into the water and digging craters in the sand before the grownups could scream "Dikya!"
We brought our own beach toys from Metro Manila...
...that were immediately put to good use. 
The pool wasn't bad either! Smiles all around. 
For the benefit of other families and homeschoolers, we will write a separate entry reviewing the resort where we stayed.
